Do you have a private parking ? Where can I park ?
We do not offer private parking facilities. However, there are public parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.You are welcome to park in the white designated parking boxes.
Please be mindful not to park on yellow lines or block garage doors
What type of electrical adapter will I need?
Electricity in Malta runs on a 230 volts/50-hertz system, with a three-pin rectangular G plug system.In the living room of each apartment you will find an adaptor like this:
If your charger is not compatible with it, guests are encouraged to travel with an adaptor, however, these are easily found locally in the stores.
Can I drink tap water in Malta ?
Tap water in Malta is safe to drink, however it is salty so it is not good in taste. The public water service is in charge of filtering the water by utilizing both Reverse Osmosis plants and ground water production sites.Even if it is filtered, its taste is not good and it does not contain the proper nutrients that we usually find in bottled water.

How is the garbage collection in Malta ? How can I separate waste properly ?
Waste separation is mandatory in Malta and Gozo as from 14 April 2023.Please always check if there are other bags on the street when put your garbage bag. If there are no other bags on the street, please do not leave it on the street and put back in the apartment to take out again on the right day.
National Waste Collection Schedule
A new national waste collection schedule has been drawn up to streamline door-to-door waste collection around Malta and Gozo in line with what was established in the National Plan on Waste Management.

The schedule will be as follows:
Monday: Organic waste (white bag)
Tuesday: Mixed waste (black bag)
Wednesday: Organic waste only (white bag)
Thursday: Recycled waste (Grey or green bag)
Friday: Organic waste (white bag)
Saturday: Mixed waste (black bag)
The collection of glass bottles will be carried out on every first and third Friday of the month.

What are the check in and check out times and collection of keys procedure ?
Check out time is set at 10:00 am, Check in time is from 15:00 onwardsLate checkout is subject to availability and we might request an additional charge.
Late check out is to be confirmed with the bookings department on info@getawaysmalta.com one day before the check out day.
We facilitate self check-ins through a simple coded key lock system. The morning after your arrival, our host (representative) will visit you at a pre-arranged time to handle any remaining balance and refundable deposit (payable in cash). They can also assist with any inquiries about the apartment or the Maltese islands, offer guidance on purchasing discounted tours and events, and more.
Approximately one day before your arrival, you will receive an email detailing the check-in procedure. Inside the apartment, you’ll find a set of keys corresponding to the number of guests.
To ensure a smooth arrival, please provide us with your flight information as soon as it’s available. This allows us to better prepare for your stay.
Are utility charges included in the rental rates that you have quoted ?
For long rental periods (28 nights and over) the bills are never included and are calculated using the website of the supplier https://arms.com.mt/en/services/bills/bill-calculator
For short stays you have an included weekly limit for the utilities:
Electricity -100KWh per unit per week & 0.5cubic metres per person per week – for a 1 Bedroom Apartment
Electricity -150KWh per unit per week & 0.5cubic metres per person per week – for a 2 Bedroom Apartment
Electricity -200KWh per unit per week & 0.5cubic metres per person per week – for a 3 Bedroom Apartment
The cost for extra units is Euro 0.42 per KWh and extra water cubic meters at Euro 8.60
These limits are enough for a good comfortable stay.
We recommend that you switch off the air condition units when you are not in the apartment and close balcony doors when AC is on. This will help to keep consumptions low and also to save the planet 🙂
When will the refundable security deposit be returned and how much is it ?
The security deposit is set at 150 Euros and can be paid either in cash or by credit card. For larger groups exceeding 4 persons, the security deposit amount may vary.Upon check-out, the security deposit will be refunded in cash by our host (representative) after ensuring the apartment is left in good condition or if all house rules have been adhered to.
For departures before 9 AM, refunds will be processed via bank transfer or credit card within 2 days.
GetawaysMalta reserves the right to withhold the security deposit if the apartment is not left in an orderly manner or if any damages occur. Any accidental damages should be reported promptly.
Management may also delay the deposit return by 2 days in cases of unsocial behavior.
How should I leave the apartment at check out ?
lease ensure the apartment is left tidy and in good condition upon departure. Excessive dirt or carelessness may result in an additional charge deducted from the security deposit. Keep all items in the apartment in their original places to facilitate inspection by the host (representative) to verify their presence.What are the Term and conditions for booking the apartment ?

Welcome kit on Arrival
On your arrival, we provide a starter pack of toilet paper, soap and shower gel. At least one garbage bag is supplied: one for Organic waste (white bag), one for Mixed waste (black bag) and one for Recycled waste (Grey or green bag)Wifi internet access are available on complementary basis
Our Internet service provider is a big company that gives a great service. However please note we cannot guarantee uninterrupted internet service due to unforeseen circumstances like faults from our equipment, equipment supplied by the provider or cut offs from the supplier. We can guarantee only that if internet is interrupted we will take immediate action to fix the problem. Wi-Fi is widely available in Malta in all shops for free and also in Public open spaces.What happens if an appliance breaks down or it is broken ?
Our technical staff will do the utmost to replace (we have stores full of spares) or repair the appliance within the least possible time. However, in unforeseen circumstances, the appliance might require a 3rd party technical input. This unfortunately, is not available immediately. However, in such cases we try to provide an adequate replacement for the broken appliance. Also in such cases we cannot be held liable for any loss or claim resulting from any malfunctioning appliance and thus cannot provide any compensation.Do we provide cleaning service ?
Cleaning during one’s stay is not included in the price, it comes at an extra charge depending on the size of the apartment (this includes bedlinen and towel change).Please ask for price
What happens if I need to leave or have a complaint
Any complaint about the apartment has to be left within the first 24 hours on check-in. This can either be done by phone on +356 9906 2977 (also What`s App) or email info@getawaysmalta.com. The management will do its utmost to deal with the issue in the least possible time.Towels and bed linens
We clean the apartment prior to the arrival and after the departure.We provide a set of linen per bed and 2 towels per person.
For long stay (28 night onwards) we provide 2 sets of sheets so one set is washed by the guest.
One may wash the sheets and towels in house since all apartments have automatic washing machine.

Cash fare on bus
The daytime fare for a bus ticket is €2.50 and the night-time fare is €3. On all our buses, tickets can be purchased from the bus driver. These cash tickets are Single Journey tickets valid for travel to any location within two hours, including transfers.

Where can I buy the ticket for the bus?
Tickets may be purchased when boarding the bus directly from the bus driver. One may pay in cash, ideally paying in exact change, or else by using a contactless credit/debit card and tapping it on the reader next to the driver.
A cash ticket bought directly on the bus may be used for a 2 hour timeframe. Within this time period you may board other buses by validating the ticket on the ticket machine close to the driver.
